Curringa Farm Stay

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of staying at Curringa Farm for a night. We departed Hobart around midday on Saturday and it took just over an hour’s drive. We stopped at New Norfolk on the way to buy supplies for dinner and then enjoyed the scenic drive through the Derwent Valley.

The accommodation at Curringa Farm is beautiful! We stayed in a studio cottage which is perfect for couples. They also have their 2 bedroom cottages perfect for families, and their larger cottages are great for larger families or groups. The cottage had everything we needed, including a BBQ for dinner, a breakfast hamper for the next morning and beautiful views of the farm!

We loved seeing the free roaming sheep, the alpacas, the highland cows and the extensive bird life. Sadly, we didn’t have time for a farm tour, however I would recommend this to make the most out of your stay.

On our drive home we passed through Ellendale before stopping at Mount Field National Park for morning tea and a walk to Russell Falls.

It was a great weekend, and a big thank you to Curringa Farm for having us! It is a great property that is perfect for a relaxing weekend, or if you are wanting to stay somewhere a little different to the standard hotel.
