East Coast Adventure

Talise and I were fortunate enough to be invited on a unique experience today with our partners Overdrive Car Hire and Par Avion.

Our task was to drive a Porsche Boxster to Saffire Freycinet, a luxury lodge located on the east coast of Tasmania near Freycinet National Park. The 2 ½ hour drive from Hobart offers scenic views of the countryside and coastline past award winning cellar doors, local produce stalls and beach towns.

On arrival into Saffire Freycinet we were escorted into reception and offered a hot drink overlooking the Hazards, a mountain range located within the national park.

We were then escorted to the local airfield where we hopped onboard a helicopter provided by Par Avion. Taking off we were treated to spectacular views over Freycinet National Park including the Hazards and white sandy beaches. On our way back to Hobart the scenery was amazing, flying over the coastline and the seaside towns of Swansea, Orford and closer to Hobart over Sorell.

Overall this was a once in a lifetime experience that any adventure seeker would love.
